MeraNews Network, Ahmedabad: City-based Hindu outfit Sanatan Foundation, which had moved a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Gujarat High Court seeking change in the title and removal of some objectionable content from the upcoming Bollywood flick Loveratri, said that they are unhappy with the change made by the makers of the film. The Salman Khan production film had on Tuesday changed its title from Loveratri to LoveYatri after the Hindu outfits claimed that it hurt their sentiments.

The outfit told the court that the new title still held a resemblance to Hindu festival Navaratri and hence the makers could change it to something like Love Ki Yatra as the tagline of the film suggests- A Journey of Love. A division bench of Chief Justice Subhash Reddy and Justice VM Pancholi said that the bench would watch the film if needed to verify the contents of the film.

The film, which is the launch vehicle of Aayush Sharma, brother in law of Salman Khan, and Warina Hussain is set to release on October 5, in the backdrop of Navaratri festival. The Hindu outfit in their PIL claimed that the title of the film was suggesting that a Hindu festival that is pious, is shown in bad light and portrays it as a period to get intimate.
