MeraNews Network, Gandhinagar: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat, top BJP leaders of the state have been summoned by the party high command to make a dash to New Delhi for a special meeting to be held on late Monday evening. It is being believed that topics like the sparse attendance at Modi’s rallies, improving the workings of the party units at state and national level and steps to boost the morale of the party workers.

The upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha election for BJP is not just a fight to retain power but also a battle of reputation too and winning all the 26 seats in Modi’s Gujarat is very important for the party. As a result, several party heavyweights including PM Modi and national president Amit Shah’s frequent visits to the state have brought in stricter scrutiny on the workings of the state unit.

The Monday evening meeting will see participation by the chief minister Vijay Rupani and several other top party leaders and ministers like Dy CM Nitin Patel, Bhikhu Dalsaniya, Mansukh Mandaviya, IK Jadeja, Ganpat Vasava and Bharatsinh Parmar too.

Immediately after the summons was sent out to all the top leaders of the party, state unit chief Jitu Vaghani dropped his commitments in the Vadnagar constituency and flew to the capital.
