Gandhinagar: The latest entrant into Sports and Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore’s Hum Fit Toh India Fit challenge is none other than the chief minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani. The Gujarat CM posted a video on his social media pages where he is seen running on a treadmill and doing suryanamaskars.
Rupani spoke about the importance of fitness in our lives and how all should take inspiration from PM Narendra Modi who works tirelessly every day because he has involved exercise in his life. He praised this initiative by Rathore which will inspire Indian youngsters to take up some workout or exercise in their routine life for a healthy living. He further passed on the challenge to Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to post his workout video.
It all started on May 22 when central minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, a former Olympian and Athens Olympics silver medallist, shared a video of himself doing push-ups in his office and further urging the citizens to regularly exercise and involve workouts like these in between their work schedules. He had tagged Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and challenged them to post their videos of workouts with the hashtag # HumFitTohIndiaFit.
Soon social media was flooded with videos of several ministers and various celebrities including Kohli and Hritik posting their workout videos and tagging their other celebrity friends and accomplices to take up the challenge. Kohli had tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to upload his work out video, which the PM readily accepted and said that he will be soon uploading his video too.
