MeraNews Network, Gandhinagar: The written test for the recruitment of Class-3 Forest Guard in the Gujarat government, which was supposed to take place on December 23, has been cancelled. This decision comes a week after the written tests for the recruitment of Lok Rakshak Dal jawans in Gujarat Police were cancelled at the last moment due to paper leak.

About 6 .25 lakh candidates were slated to appear in the forest guard exams. In a press release, the department of administration of the state informed that the competitive written exam for 334 posts of Class-3 Forest Guard in the Gujarat government, that was slated to take place from morning 11 AM to 1 PM on December 23, 2018 stands cancelled and that new dates of the exams will be declared soon.

The department didn’t specify the reason behind the cancellation. This announcement has now left more than 6 lakh candidates in lurch who have been preparing for these tests for a long time. On December 2, the police recruitment board had cancelled the exams for LRD jawans’ recruitment after the answer key to the question paper in the test had leaked on social messaging platforms on the morning of the test. About 8.76 lakh candidates were to appear in this exam, which will now take place on January 13, 2019.
