MeraNews Network, Rajkot: The Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti on Wednesday convened a meeting of the conveners of their Saurashtra zone, where Hardik Patel, Manoj Panara and other prominent Patidar leaders were present. PAAS conveners from Morbi, Amreli, Junagadh, Surendranagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Gir Somnath, Bhavnagar, and Rajkot had congregated at the Dhoraji Leuva Patel Samaj Bhavan for the conference.

At the meeting, Hardik Patel said that on December 3, he would be visiting Leader of Opposition in Gujarat Legislative Assembly Paresh Dhanani at his residence, seeking a private bill for reservation for Patidar community is presented in the assembly. Talking further about the plans of PAAS, he added that he would organize a three-day rally on December 20, 21 and 22 in Amreli, where they would march on foot to highlight the issues of farmers in the district. He also announced dharna seeking the release of Patidar leader Alpesh Kathiriya from jail.

Talking about his plans for the upcoming year, he said he would be travelling across districts and villages of Saurashtra in January, attending several functions to bring awareness amongst people. He had once again put the onus on the state government for granting reservation for the community, on the lines of the Maharashtra government granting reservation to the Marathas.
