MeraNews Network, Morbi: Amongst the rising cases of ATM fraud in Morbi town of Gujarat, the latest victim is a local policeman who lost more than Rs 6 lakhs to the fraudsters.

Haresh Kishor, a policeman with the district traffic department lost Rs 6.93 lakhs after ATM fraudsters targeted his bank account. So far 20 people have lost their hard-earned money to the tune of Rs 10 lakhs in a similar fashion. Kishor has filed a complaint of bank fraud with the Morbi A Division police station.

Police Inspector R.J. Chaudhary said, “The victim Haresh’s bank statements and transactions will be examined to see how the fraudsters were able to gain access to his bank account through his debit card. By the modus operandi, we suspect this is the act of the same gang that has been notorious for this kind of thefts.
